Marry within the Party- Asiedu Nketia to NDC members

Johnson Asiedu Nketia – popularly known as General Mosquito-, the General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has encouraged his party members to marry each other like it happens in churches.

Speaking on Happy FM’s ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show, he reechoed this statements citing Samira Bawumia as an example.

He said, “Samira Bawumia was an ardent People’s National Convention (PNC) member until her marriage to the Vice President of the country Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia.”

He claimed Samira Bawumia was an ardent PNC supporter and had to revert to the New Patriotic Party after her marriage to the Vice President as the men in NDC refused to marry her.

“For all groups to be sustained, intra marriages are important. If all intra party marriages are encouraged, children bore from these marriages will be exposed to a unified view and lead to kids becoming party faithfuls too,” he added.

However, Samira’s father, Ahmed Ramadan, is a veteran Ghanaian banker and politician who retired from active politics in 2015. He was the chairman of the People’s National Convention (PNC)
