Meaningless ‘Onaapo’ title doesn’t win election -Spio-Garbrah jabs Mahama

Flagbearer aspirant of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, has revealed that, his party lost the 2016 presidential election because of the proliferation of meaningless titles like ‘Onaapo’.

According to Spio-Garbrah, the NDC prior to the 2016 general elections had no message for the electorates but only had empty titles which he [Spio] deemed does not win an election.

Speaking in an exclusive interview on Happy FM’s ‘Epa Hoa Daben‘ the former Mahama-appointee said “NDC had no message in 2016. I met some NDC communicators in Ashanti Region and I asked them what NDC’s message was in 2016 and all they said was Onaapo! Onaapa!!.”

“I attended a meeting of the party’s communicators in the Ashanti Region and 58 of them were present.I asked them of what message the NDC had for the electorates in 2016 and out of the 58 communicators none of them knew it and I was speechless,” Spio said.

The former Trades Minister also revealed that communicators could recite all the messages of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2016 but could not say anything about theirs (NDC).

Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, a leading contender in the flagbearership race of the NDC has officially outdoored his campaign as a flagbearer on Tuesday, October 16.
