Most Jamaicans doubt my Ghanaian origin – Stonebwoy

Ghanaian Dancehall artiste, Livingstone Etse Satekla also known as Stonebwoy in showbiz says on his business trips to Jamaica he is hardly recognized as Ghanaian.
According to him, revealing his origin to the Jamaicans always seems to get them amazed.
He also said most of them think he’s smooth at speaking the English-based creole language with West African influences also known as Jamaican Patois even though he is not so fluent at it.
“They don’t believe I am outright Ghanaian. I am an African and we know the root culture and vibes, a Jamaican is a Jamaican but then they say I speak Patois than some of them…”he said.
In response to whether or not Jamaicans laugh at some of the Dancehall artistes who are not as fluent as he is in speaking the Patois language,
He said, “They don’t laugh at us, music is a universal language.”
Stonebwoy is the CEO of Burniton Music Group and is also signed on to the Zylofon media music label.
In 2015, he won Best International Act, Africa at the 2015 BET Awards and Artist of the Year at the 2015 Ghana Music Awards.
