The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament and parliamentary candidate for Upper Denkyira West District in the Central Region, Lawyer Daniel Ohene Darko has emphasized the importance of development over politics, urging the public and assembly members to prioritize the needs of the community. He cautioned against allowing political affiliations to hinder progress, citing examples of communal labor projects being stalled due to partisan differences.

Speaking during the commissioning of a 3-unit classroom block for St Mary’s R/C Basic School in Ntom, he said the project aims to promote education and make learning more attractive to pupils in the area.

According to Darko, education is the foundation of every country, which is why he established this project to improve the learning environment for the pupils. St Mary’s R/C Basic School, established in 1980, has struggled with infrastructural development, but now has a befitting 3-unit classroom block for kindergarten pupils.
