The President Nana Akufo-Addo has appointed former Executive Secretary of the National Service Scheme Mustapha Ussif as the Minister-designate for Youth and Sports.
The appointment was confirmed on Thursday subject to approval by Parliament in the list of ministerial appointments released by the Presidency.
The Member of Parliament for Yagaba Kubore replaces Isaac Kwame Asiamah as the Sports Minister.
Isaac Asiamah served as Sports Minister in Nana Akufo-Addo’s first tenure undertaking some of the biggest infrastructural projects in the country.
Mustapha Yusif who chalked some successes at the National Service Secretariat is expected to bring some innovations and ideas to the Sports Ministry during his tenure.
