Black Stars striker, Antione Semenyo has opened up on transitioning from a playing upfront to the wings after making his move to join AFC Bournemouth.

Antione Semenyo who joined AFC Bournemouth in the summer of 2022 from Championship side Bristol City says he now enjoys his new position as a winger because he is now able to express himself.

Semenyo whose aim is to make defenders fear him told Premier League TV that he has accepted his new role because that guarantees him more playing time.

“The coach said I’m more effective when I play out wide and I have accepted it because at the end of the day I just want to play more minutes because that is the most important thing.”

“It’s a great compliment from other managers about my game but my aim is to make defenders hate me if I’m being honest with you. That’s my game and I’m never going to change that,” Antoine Semenyo said.

Antoine Semenyo scored three goals and provided an assist after match day 8 of the ongoing 2024/2025 Premier League season.
