Namoale Vows to Help NPP Implement ‘One District, One Factory’

Former Member of Parliament for La Dadekotopon Constituency has expressed his desire to aid the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in their quest to implement the ‘One District, One Factory’ policy which was one of their key manifesto promises during the 2016 elections.
The programme which was launched in August last year, will create the conducive environment for each district to own factories relative to their well-endowed resources and capacity to provide jobs and wealth for the country.
This will be in fulfillment of a pledge by President Akufo-Addo to see the actualization of the industrialization of Ghana as part of the transformation process he envisages for the country.
But last week, the National Coordinator of the ‘One District, One Factory’ secretariat Mrs. Gifty Ohene-Konadu stated that, she can’t make promises as to if the government can fulfill its ‘One District, One Factory’ promise which won them power the last elections.
Speaking on Happy FM’s Epa Hoa Daben show, Namoale expressed his readiness to help the ruling party to make the policy a success and urged them to open up for more ideas from experts.
“I want to help NPP implement the One District, One Factory policy,” Namoale stated on Happy FM.
“Our districts have increased from time to time but this government has not built even a single factory as we speak. If you talk about planning, I have better plans and I will like to build one factory at Dadekotopon constituency. So this government must open up for everybody to help. People who live in villages also have better plans if only they are given the chance,” Namoale added.
