‘The pace at which the president; Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is delivering on his promises in the manifesto of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), he may have to launch a new manifesto by the year 2019’ Davis Opoku Ansah has said.
According to the member of the communications team of the NPP popularly known in the political circles as OPK, the president may have to launch a new manifesto to guide the party going into the next elections because the president by that time may have implemented all the promises in the current manifesto.
‘The rate at which the president is implementing some of the major policies contained in the 2016 manifesto is unprecedented’ he maintained.
OPK made this statement on the ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ show hosted Kwame Afrifa Mensah on Accra-based Happy FM.
He said so far, the president has implemented the major policies contained the manifesto and very soon a new one may be needed to guide the party going into the 2020 elections.
The president is an exceptional person when it comes to the delivery of the promises he made to Ghanaians during the last elections he added.
I think that by the end of the year, the 2016 manifesto of the party will be exhausted and a new must developed going by the way the president is delivering’ he said.
By the end of the year there will be nothing left in the NPP’s manifesto to implement he argued
It started with the free senior secondary programme; and then came the implementation of the one –district-one factory policy, paperless at the ports and now reduction of electricity tariffs.
The speed at which the president is moving on the implementation of the flagship policies of the party clearly indicates the president is really in a hurry to bring reprieve to Ghanaians he said.
Yes! Ghanaians have suffered under the regime of the immediate past National Democratic Congress (NDC) and there is need to quicken up in bring relieves to the Ghanaian for voting for the NPP in the last elections he explained.
