Nana Addo wants to destroy Napo’s political career – Yamoah Ponkoh

The former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ejisu-Juaben in the Ashanti Region, Afrifa Yamoah Ponkoh has alleged that the President of the country, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo seeks to destroy the political career of the Hon. Minister Matthew Opoku Prempeh by positioning him as the Minister of Education.

He was speaking in an interview on the “Epa Hoa Daben” show with Happy FM’s Nana Afrifa Mensah when he said: “As a politician, I know that there are certain positions in Government that can become burdens. Nana Addo wants to destroy Napo’s political career by placing him in the Ministry of Education”.

According to him, the responsibilities at the Ministry of Education are too burdensome for a young man like Hon. Matthew Opoku Prempeh to handle. He suggested that the president shuffles the Minister’s position with either the position of the finance Minister or the Minister for works and housing.

He furthered that Honourable Matthew Opoku Prempeh who would have otherwise been regarded as a value to the country is now seen as “the Satan” in Ghana. He was also of the view that the position that the Minister occupies has brought reproach to his name.

The Minister of Education, Honourable Matthew Opoku Prempeh, prior to his press conference on Tuesday, 1st October 2019, received heavy criticisms from Ghanaians on the introduction of Comprehensive Sexuality Education in the new curriculum for Ghanaian students.
