War against corruption is not won overnight - Nana Addo

The former Member of Parliament (MP) for Madina, Alhaji Amadu Sorogho has said that he foresaw failure of Nana Addo’s administration from the plagiarized paragraphs in the President’s inaugural speech.

Alhaji Sorogho made these comments as a panelist on Happy FM’s ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ political show. “I saw failure from Nana Addo’s first Presidential speech. The plagiarism in his speech was a sign of an administration that was to be controlled by lies”, he said.

According to him, the president’s speech was characterized by plagiarized speeches of two former Presidents of the United States of America (USA), George Bush and Bill Clinton.
It can be recalled that Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo’s inaugural speech was touted as one of the best speeches ever made by a Ghanaian President but the euphoria was short lived because a local radio station pointed out some aspect of the speech had been plagiarized. The news caught on like wildfire that almost marred the beautiful Swearing-in of the then newly elected President, Nana Akufo Addo.

Mr. Alhaji Amadu Sorogho was the Member of Parliament for Madina-Abokobi from 2005 to 2016 when he lost his seat to National Patriotic Party’s Boniface Abubakar Saddique in 2016.
