National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Amenfi Central constituency is expected to elect a new parliamentary candidate for the December 7th elections on Sunday September 8 after the annulment of its primaries in May 13th last year.
The General Secretary of the NDC, Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey, in a statement released on 4th September, 2024, stated that, the Functional Executive Committee of the party after a meeting on Tuesday 3rd September, 2024 decided to annul the results of it parliamentary primary elections that was held on 13th May, 2023 and rerun it. The statement further stated that, in the relief, (c), (d), and (e) of the plaintiffs’ action, the party prayed the court for an annulment and an order to rerun the elections.
The party would open up nominations on Friday 6th September, 2024. The process is expected to start on Friday 6th September, 2024 and end with the elections on Sunday 8th September, 2024
