The Greater Accra Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Theophilus Tetteh Chaie has described the tour of the party’s presidential candidate as a successful one and an indication of the party’s victory ahead of the December 7 polls.

He noted that the level of reception and motivation expressed by the people of Greater Accra during ex-President Mahama’s tour is unprecedented.

Tetteh Chaie made this statement in an interview with Happy 98.9 FM’s Afrifa-Mensa, host of Epa Hoa Daben political talk show, “The reception of the people in the Greater Accra region has given us a clear indication that ex-President Mahama will be inaugurated come 7th January 2020 as the President of the country”.

The politician noted that the former President’s tour is really going well. “We did not make any arrangements to bus people to the various places we visited. The people came out in their numbers to support us because the wind of change is blowing”.

Ex-President Mahama, began his five-day campaign tour of the Greater Accra Region on Tuesday, 27th October, 2020.

As part of his tour, the former president has been meeting with traditional leaders, fisher folks, traders, farmers, artisans, Zongo chiefs, students, tutors, workers and residents in a number of constituencies.

The former President is also expected to outline his plans for creating jobs for the youth as well as his commitment to achieving universal access to healthcare through the implementation of the NDC’s Free Primary Healthcare plan.

“He will also address the concerns of students, fisher folks and others, and end his campaign in the Greater Accra Region on Saturday, 31st October 2020”, a statement noted.
