NDC General Secretary expresses confidence in election security measures ahead of December 7 polls

Leadership of the National Democratic Congress led by the General Secretary, Fiifi Fiavi Kwetey and the communications director, Sammy Gyamfi esq, is currently in a closed door meeting with the Greater Accra Regional Police Command in a closed door meeting to discuss and present their petition towards the party’s nationwide demonstration.

The demonstration which is scheduled to take place on 17th September 2024 would see party faithful and supporters marching to the Electoral Commission’s office to press home their demand for transparency and independent audit of the voter’s register.

The chairman of the party, Johnson Asiedu Nketsia on Monday, September 9,2024 announced after the party submitted nomination forms for the party’s Presidential Candidate, John Dramani Mahama that, the NDC would embark on a nationwide demonstration.

According to Johnson Asiedu Nketsia, the NDC would collaborate with higher political parties and Civil Society Organizations to demand for independent audits of the electoral process in all sixteen (16) regions in the country.
