NDC Women wing cautions against splinter groups

The National Women’s Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has advised its members against forming splinter groups of the wing.

In a statement signed by the party’s National Women’s Organizer, Dr. Hanna Louisa Bisiw, she indicated that the wing is not opposed to others contributing to their work or joining their ranks but, “the party frowns on splinter groups because they are unconstitutional, a tool to sabotage and mostly aimed at using the acclaimed affiliation to the women’s wing for personal monetary gains.”

WOMEN SPLINTER GROUPS ARE NOT RECOGNIZED BY THE PARTY

It has come to the attention of the National Women’s Wing that some individuals have formed various women groups claiming to be associated with the wing.

The wing does not oppose the idea of people coming on board to work with the women’s wing. However, the Party frowns on splinter groups because they are unconstitutional, a tool for sabotage and mostly aimed at using the acclaimed affiliation to the women’s wing for personal monetary gains rather than serving the interest of the wing.

Any persons or group that wishes to support and harness the strength of women for the greater good of the party must do so through the women’s wing at any level of the party as required.

For the avoidance of doubt, the National Women’s Wing do not recognize any such groups (NDC Royal Ladies, Loyal ladies ofNDC, Democratic Ladies and others).

The rank and file of the party, branch, Constituency and Regional Women Organizers are hereby admonished to desist from any activities of the aforementioned groups and the like. A women’s Organizer at any level of the wing who entertains such activities in their jurisdiction will be subjected to the disciplinary measures of the party.

The only constitutionally mandated body to mobilize women for the party is the women’s Wing ably led by the National Women’s Organizer, Dr. Hanna Louisa Bisiw and assisted by her two deputies.

Saboteurs will be fiercely uprooted to enable the wing work effectively for victory 2024,

We count on you, our hardworking women to ensure sanity in the wing and the party at Large.

Signed

Dr. Hanna Louisa Bisiw

National Women’s Organizer.
