The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has said that governing New Patriotic Party, literally thanked God when the NDC did not show up at their national Delegates Conference in Koforidua in the Eastern Region.
The NPP over the weekend elected new executives for the party at Koforidua in the Eastern Region, their opponent the NDC who were supposed to give a solidarity message which is the norm among political parties in the country did not show up.
According to General Mosquito, the NDC would have said worse about the opulent display of the posters than what John Hayward representative of the United Kingdom Conservative said.
Speaking on Happy FM’s Epa Hoa Daben show Asiedu Nketia said, “we not showing up at the NPP conference has rather helped them and I believe they were happy because what I will say there, they would not have like it.”
“Initially, when they heard that we will be coming they were scared, so our absence brought jubilation amidst them, they know the bad practice they were engaged in at Koforidua and the NDC would have said worse than what John Hayward laments on,” He added.
A representative of the Conservative Party in the UK, John Hayward, criticized the NPP for the money aspirants spent on posters and banners to market themselves in the party’s national Delegates Conference; he said that when giving a solidarity message at the conference on Saturday, July 7th 2018.
John Hayward said he saw more party posters than delegates taking part in the conference.
