Newly appointed Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac will be richer by $600,000 if he is able to win the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations title and qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The Serbian coach makes a return to the Black Stars job for a second stint and has been tasked by the Ghana Football Association to produce magic and ensure the Black Stars end their 40-year wait for the AFCON title.

The Serbian will earn $300,000 if he is able to win the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon in February and secure the same amount if he qualify for national team to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

This was confirmed by the GFA General Secretary Prosper Harrison Addo when the coach was unveiled on Accra on Friday.

Rajevac signed a performance-based contract with the Ghana FA  until September 2022 which is renewable should he secure qualification to the 2022 World Cup which comes off in November next year.

A contract extension until February 28, 2023 is guaranteed to that effect.

The terms and conditions agreed between both Rajevac and the Ghana FA is to ensure success in the two competitions the Black Stars will be engaged in.

His first task is to win the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations which will be staged in Cameroon in January with the Black Stars pitted in Group C alongside Comoros, Gabon and Morocco.

Milo will earn $300,000 should he win the AFCON title for the Black Stars at next year’s tournament.

According to sources he will be paid within eight weeks if he is able to end Ghana’s 40-year wait for the Afcon title.

The former Algerian coach will also be entitled to another $300,000 should he guarantee Ghana a place among the 32-countries to participate in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

According to sources, he will be paid within four weeks after the last qualification match.

However failure to deliver those tasks wil see his contract terminated on September 19, 2022.

Milovan Rajevac’s first assignment will be against Zimbabwe next month in a 2022 World Cup qualifier at the Cape Coast stadium.
