Ghanaian musician Kuami Eugene has disclosed that news about the birth of his ‘daughter’ showed him that his brand has a really huge following both locally and internationally.

In an interview on Happy 98.9 FM’s Ayekoo After Drive with DJ Advicer, Kuami Eugene said, “The Kuami Eugene brand is powerful and I realised how influential I was after the news broke that I had given birth.”

According to Kuami Eugene, he posted a picture of his newly outdoored niece Kimberly and captioned it ‘We are welcoming our new princess to the world’ and this was interpreted by many as he had given birth.

“After the outdooring, I went to sleep and woke up to so many missed calls so I decided not to call anyone and went on social media to find out what was going on and I was trending everywhere. People had misinterpreted my caption to mean I had given birth.

“People were mad I had not informed them I had given birth and named my child without even inviting them. Some were also suprised.”

The musician noted that even after he came out to make it clear that the baby he posted was his niece, some people were still saying he had given birth.

“After I had said Kimberly was my niece, I met Wendy Shay who also confronted me for giving birth and not informing her about the outdooring.
A gov’t official whom I respect even called me to advice me on how to nurse my child”, he said.

The ‘Angela’ hitmaker added that he was happy news of his ‘daughter’ broke the internet. “I got over 100,000 views only a few hours after uploading the video. And I am happy when you google Kimberly’s name you will see it and she will also see it when she’s twenty years old.

He added that with the reception he received from the birth of his niece, he believes he will get a much bigger one after the birth of his child in the next four (4) to five (5) years.

The musician who is currently promoting his new joint titled ‘Open Gate’ reiterated that he has not given birth. “The child in the video I posted is my niece,” he clarified.
