The Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram and Minister for Communications, Digitalisation, and Innovation, Samuel Nartey George has secured a commitment from the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) to address the escalating water crisis in his constituency.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, March 16, Mr. George described the water situation in Ningo and Prampram as “extremely critical,” highlighting a significant decline in supply in recent weeks.

He shared that he had engaged with the new Managing Director of GWCL on Saturday, who assured him that water supply would improve starting Tuesday, March 19. Mr. George also revealed that the GWCL Managing Director plans to visit the constituency during the week to personally assess the situation.

While appreciating the commitment, the MP stressed the importance of finding a long-term solution to the recurring water shortages.

In the interim, Mr. George pledged to continue supporting residents by providing water through tanker deliveries to help alleviate their difficulties. He also expressed his gratitude to the Greater Accra Regional Minister for his intervention in tackling the crisis.
