Private legal practitioner, Kofi Bentil, has said that no serious lawyer anywhere will advise former Finance Minister
Ken Ofori-Atta to return to Ghana under the present circumstances, following his declaration as a fugitive from justice by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).
He argues that no lawyer will advise a ‘sick’ client to enter such an atmosphere of animosity where people are looking for a circus and ‘shame parade’ instead of prosecution.

Kofi Bentil makes the point that presence is not required for prosecution, therefore, the prosecution of Mr Ofori-Atta can be done in absentia.
