President of the Normalization Committee (NC), Dr. Kofi Amoah has praised Happy FM, for the great work they have done with their Anti-Corruption campaign dubbed ‘Nkontabuo’.

Happy FM, Ghana’s number one sports station, on Thursday March 21, presented a proposed amendment to the status of football administration in Ghana to the Normalization Committee. This forms part of the station’s efforts to sensitize, demystify and ensure the smooth running of sports administration in Ghana.

The ‘Nkontabuo’ project on Happy FM is sponsored by StarGhana with funding from UK aid (DFID), DANIDA and EU.

Dr. Kofi Amoah, during a press conference at the GFA secretariat in the presence of Perry Okudzeto, Deputy Youth and Sports Minister ; FIFA task force to Ghana; members of the Normalization Committee (NC) and sports journalists present, commended Happy FM for their bold move.

“The steps left to the destination are varied and challenging. But I think with the media’s involvement and support we will get there. We are getting great ideas. The other day, we got a list of suggestions and recommendations from Happy 98.9 FM and we have gotten a lot of suggestions from other individuals,”- Dr. Amoah stated.

“It is a reflection of people’s interest to see Ghana football improve. We will engage the media more and together we will see a revived Ghana football,” he added.

As part of its mandate from FIFA, the NC has been tasked to review the status of the FA. Their mandate was supposed to end on March 31 but FIFA has extended the mandate of the Normalisation Committee for another six months. The extension would enable the transitional committee to lead the Black Stars to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt and stay on until September 30, 2019.

Other members of the NC include Lucy Quist, Naa Odofoley Nortey and former Ghana international, Sammy Kuffour – who has replaced Lawyer Duah Adonteng -.
