NPP cautions police over use of brand new vehicles

A member of the communications team of the governing New Patriotic Party has cautioned the police administration to be measured in the use of cars to be presented to them by the government as part of their retooling exercise.
We won’t accept the old age attitude of the police in using official cars for private businesses instead of the intended purpose for the cars.
Amaoh Gyamfi gave this warning on the Epa Hoa Daben show hosted by Kwame Afrifa-Mensah on Accra-based Happy FM.
His decision  to warn the police on the show stem from the government’s decision to provide some hundred Toyota-corolla vehicles to the police administration
The police must desist from these attitudes that have dragged the name and image of the noble institution into the mud over the years he stressed.
‘We will not tolerate such behaviours from the police now that the government is committed to retooling the institution for good’.
According to him, the police must use these vehicles to build their confidence in the society and not use the vehicles for other purposes the vehicles are not intended for.
The days where personnel use official vehicles to transport their children to school among other things are over under the watch of president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo he warned.
The government cannot struggle to provide vehicles for the police for personnel to be seen driving in the officials cars with their girl friends instead of maintaining law and order.
