The election held on  May 2nd  at the premises of Wesley Methodist church in Accra brought together about 1,317 delegates to exercise their franchise in selecting leaders to help them secure victory in the upcoming 2024 general elections, and also to strengthen the solidarity in the party.

The newly elected party executive’s mandate begun after they were sworn-in few hours after the official announcement of results by the Electoral Commission.

Emmanuel Safo Agyepong, popularly known to party faithfuls as “Odasene” meaning the “The Human”, was able to poll about 919 votes of total ballot casted whiles his contender for the 1st Vice Chairman slot Randy Vanderpuye commanded 373 votes.

“I am very excited about this achievement, and I want to use this opportunity to express my sincere gratitude to the good people of Odododiodio for having confidence in me. I am here to serve and to deliver, and I hope that together we will help the party deliver on its mandate. Thank you!”

Among the campaign promises he promoted ahead of the elections are, the promise to donate GHC100, 000.00 to delegates within the constituency and the introduction of a scheme to cater for the aged.

Mr. Agyepong, also plans on breaking the barrier of marginalization with regards to distribution within the constituency.
