NPP gov't not above criticism – Lydia Forson explodes

Outspoken Ghanaian actress, Lydia Forson, has condemned sections of Ghanaians for failing to find their voices on critical issues under the Akufo-Addo led administration.
According to the sassy actress, Ghanaians took a stern stance in vehemently criticizing the Mahama led administration whenever they acted wrongly which is contrary to the loud silence adopted by the same persons under the current administration.
In a short article, she wrote: “There was passion in these conversations, or dare I say even anger over decisions the government of the day was making we disagreed with; a lot of them nothing compared to this”.

Lydia Forson writes:
Two years ago we were ready to go out on the streets, march, have long debates from social media to the air waves.
There was passion in these conversations, or dare I say even anger over decisions the government of the day was making we disagreed with; a lot of them nothing compared to this.
Now; we talk a little, feign disagreement for a brief moment then later try to give “over intellectualized” answers coated with condescension to those who’re not “smart enough” to get it. (More than anything this is what annoys me).
If we can’t criticize this government as vehemently as we did the NDC then there’s a big problem. But this is what happens to a people that are more loyal to their party than the country.
This government doesn’t have all the answers, they’re not our saviors and they’re certainly NOT above criticism; it’s up to us to steer them in the direction that is in our best interest with our voices.
