The New Patriotic Party’s Bono Regional Chairman, Kwame Baffoe, known as Abronye, has been summoned by the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB) on Wednesday, February 26, 2025.

The invitation comes as the NIB seeks to investigate serious allegations Abronye made against President John Dramani Mahama.

According to a letter circulating on social media, Abronye is alleged to have said in an interview on “Movement in the Morning,” a breakfast show on Movement TV that, President Mahama is hoarding five hundred and fifty million Ghana Cedis GH¢550,000,000.00 intended for dismissed appointees at the Jubilee House.

“In the said allegations you levelled during an interview on “Movement in the Morning” a breakfast show on Movement TV hosted by Kwaku DAWURO, you Kwame BAFFOE @ ABRONYE alleged that President John Dramani MAHAMA is hoarding five hundred and fifty million Ghana Cedis [GH¢550,000,000.00] intended for the dismissed appointees at the Jubilee House”.

Abronye is alleged to have also accused the administration of corruption in the recruitment and revocation processes.

NIB’s invitation to Abronye is to help assist with investigations aimed to substantiate these allegations.
