Nyansapo Concepts partners with the College of Health Sciences, UG to equip future healthcare professionals

In a strategic effort to cultivate well-rounded healthcare professionals, Nyansapo Concepts partnered with the College of Health Sciences (CHS), University of Ghana to host a transformative Soft Skills and Mindset Training Programme for health professional students on 2nd June, 2026 at the CHS Examination Hall.
The full-day event brought together over 200 students representing all six schools under the College of Health Sciences, including the School of Biomedical and Allied Health Sciences, the School of Nursing and Midwifery, the School of Pharmacy, the School of Public Health, the University of Ghana Dental School, and the University of Ghana Medical School.
The training opened with an address by Mrs. Lisa Poku Boateng, Co-Founder of Nyansapo Concepts, who emphasized the critical need for healthcare professionals to blend technical expertise with deep empathy and strong interpersonal skills.

Speaking on the theme, “Beyond Clinical Skills: Shaping the Heart of Healthcare,” Mrs. Boateng noted that while technology and artificial intelligence continue to reshape medicine, human qualities remain irreplaceable.
“Technical competence is essential, but compassion, communication, integrity, and empathy are what truly distinguish exceptional healthcare professionals,” she stated. “The future of healthcare depends on leaders who can seamlessly combine science with humanity.”
Prof. Alfred Edwin Yawson, Provost of the College of Health Sciences, University of Ghana commended the initiative, describing it as a vital complement to the University’s Strategic Priority 1- Transformative Student Experience and the College’s mission of producing globally competitive health professional graduates.
“It is no longer enough to possess technical knowledge alone, the health professionals who truly stand out are those who develop the additional skills required to lead, collaborate, and drive systemic impact” Prof. Yawson asserted.
Echoing these sentiments, Margareth Duroseau-Alexis, Co-Founder of Nyansapo Concepts, highlighted the organization’s dedication to empowering youth through mindset transformation and wisdom-driven leadership. She reminded students that academic excellence, while commendable, is only one piece of the puzzle.
“Resilience, emotional intelligence, social skills, and a positive mindset are equally critical in shaping a successful career,” Duroseau-Alexis explained. “We want future healthcare professionals to lead with both competence and compassion. Every patient deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and empathy and that transformation begins with the right mindset.”
The programme featured dynamic, interactive sessions facilitated by a distinguished panel of local and international experts, including board-certified orthopedic surgeon Dr. Yirenkyi, strategic operations and international development professional Hiwit Hunegnaw Tiruneh, former nursing professor Camille Phaire-Morton, seasoned registered nurse Evelyn Kwofie, and missionary and mindset transformation advocate Reverend Guzel Atadja.
The curriculum covered critical modules designed to enhance personal and professional growth, including professional identity, ethical communication, human-centered healthcare, emotional intelligence, leadership, and global career development.
This collaborative initiative directly aligns with Nyansapo Concepts’ core mission: bridging the gap between rigorous academic training and the practical, real-world competencies required for effective healthcare delivery and visionary leadership.
