The Returning Officer for the Odododiodio constituency in the Greater Accra Region has encouraged first-time voters to ensure they cast their ballots for both presidential and parliamentary candidates.

His remarks followed an incident at the James Town Police station 1 polling centre where a first-time voter mistakenly voted for only a presidential candidate, unaware that they were also required to vote for a parliamentary candidate.

In an interview with Happy 98.9 FM’s reporter, Nana Antwi Boasiako, Mr. Andoh emphasized that all Electoral Commission officials have been instructed to guide first-time voters to ensure they vote correctly.

He urged all first-time voters to double-check their ballots and ensure they vote for both the presidential and parliamentary candidates before leaving the polling station.
