A health practitioner at the AideLife Hospital, Dr. Eric Amoah has advised that oral sex performed on and by both men and women is detrimental to human health and should be stopped.
In an interview on Happy 98.9FM’s Morning Show, with host, Sammy Eshun, he mentioned that many individuals tend to engage in these practices because they have no idea of what the side effects may be.
Dr. Amoah also noted that oral sex is the cause of many oral diseases, that do not show symptoms until they have fully damaged the system of the host body. “When the woman has cervical cancer, the virus of that cancer can cause a man to get penal cancer; This HVP 16 and HVP 18 cause these cancers; As the one who is on the giving end stands the risk of contracting head and neck cancers like throat cancer courtesy the virus and can even get into your blood stream and resort as leukaemia.” He concluded.
Meanwhile during a just ended parliamentary debate, Hon. Ursula Owusu frowned upon oral sex and urged all women who are coerced to engage in oral sex practices, to report such incidents to the Ghana Police Service.
