Veteran Ghanaian coach, Joseph Emmanuel Sarpong, says currently most of the coaches in the country are not bold to stop administrators from interfering in their team selection.

Coach Sarpong made this statement in reference to how administrators influence coaches in their player call-ups and selections before a game.

According to Sarpong, Bashiru Hayford and Karim Zito are the only two coaches that will not allow any external factor to influence their call-ups or team selection.

JE Sarpong in an interview on Wamputu Sports with Odiasempa Kwame Oware said, “We need coaches who are bold and cannot be influenced in their team selection. In Ghana only a few coaches are bold.
I, Coach Edusei, Afranie, and most of them are late.

“With our current coaches, most of them are not bold with the exception of Bashiru Hayford and Karim Zito. With Zito I will say there is a doubt because of his affiliation to the current administration. In those days you cannot dictate to me, Coach Afranie and Coach Herbert Addo”, he added.
