Photos: Nkrumah Circle, Ring Road flooded after heavy downpour

Some parts of the capital city got flooded after a heavy downpour on Monday morning.
The rain started a few minutes to 9:00 a.m., and lasted for about an six hours .

Some places including the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange, Kanashie and Avenor among other place were all flooded.

Running water spilled from chocked drains unto the roads around the Kwame Nkrumah Interchange and left pedestrians with no choice but to walk through the water which was up to the knee level.

The rains and its resulting floods consequently caused massive traffic in the capital.

Scores of vehicles were trapped in the water.

Commercial and private drivers had to take a detour as the side of the Interchange that leads to the Ring Road was almost cut off due to the rain.
