Players who made it into Kwesi Appiah’s 23-man squad for AFCON 2019

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah will announce his final squad that will be taking part in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations  tournament in Egypt today.

Happyghana.com can report that, New York FC’s Ebenezer Ofori, Asante Kotoko striker Abdul Fatawu, Hearts of Oak defender Mohammed Alhassan ,Numancia ace Yaw Yeboah and FC Porto striker Abdul Majeed Waris will be axed from the team.

The four-time African champions are housed in group F alongside Cameroon, Guinea-Bissau and Benin.

Richard Ofori (Maritzburg United, South Africa, Lawrence Ati- Zigi  (Sochaux, Montbeliard, France), and Felix Annan  (Asante Kotoko, Ghana).

Defenders

John Boye (Metz, France), Andy Yiadom (Reading, England, Abdul Baba Rahman (Reims, France), Lumor Agbenyenu (Goztepe A.S, Turkey),  Kassim Nuhu, (Hoffeinham, Germany,) Jonathan Mensah (Columbus Crew SC, USA), Joseph Aidoo (Genk, Belguim), Joseph Attamah (Basaksehir, Turkey)

Midfielders
