Police arrest 26 persons for brandishing and indiscriminate firing of toy guns in public

The Ghana Police Service has arrested 26 individuals suspected of being involved in crimes linked to the use of toy guns.

The police in a statement said suspects are currently assisting with investigations and are expected to be arraigned in court to face justice.

According to the Ghana Police Service as part of the investigations, authorities retrieved a quantity of toy guns from the suspects.

This development forms part of ongoing nationwide operations to tackle the growing trend of toy gun-related activities, which have been reported in various parts of the country.

The police have emphasized their commitment to maintaining peace and security in the country. They assured the public that efforts are being intensified to apprehend others engaged in similar unlawful activities to safeguard public safety.
