The Presidency has announced a non-denominational thanksgiving service to commemorate one year of President John Dramani Mahama’s tenure in office.
According to the announcement, the thanksgiving service is scheduled for 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, and will take place at the Forecourt of the Presidency.
The event, themed “One Year of President Mahama: Resetting. Rebuilding. Renewing.”, is intended to offer gratitude for the past year of leadership while reflecting on the government’s agenda and renewed commitment to national development.
The service will bring together religious leaders, government officials, traditional authorities and invited guests from across the country, underscoring a spirit of unity and national reflection beyond denominational lines.
The Presidency says the thanksgiving service will also serve as an opportunity to reaffirm the administration’s vision of national reset, institutional rebuilding and socio-economic renewal as it enters the next phase of governance.
