The Presidency has called on religious leaders to formally relay any prophecies or spiritual insights of national significance directly to the government for urgent attention and possible action.

In a statement signed by the Presidential Envoy for Interfaith and Ecumenical Relations, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, the Office of the President urged prophets, men and women of God to share revelations that have implications for high-profile leaders, governance, national security, or public stability.

The directive, issued on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama, is part of efforts to strengthen national coordination on spiritual matters, particularly in times of uncertainty and complex challenges.

“Any prophecy or spiritual insight of a national nature, especially those with implications for high-profile leaders, governance, national security, or public stability, should be formally relayed to the Office of the Presidential Envoy for urgent review and appropriate escalation,” the statement read.

The call comes in the wake of a recent tragic accident involving government officials, military personnel, and NDC party executives, which has prompted the presidency to appeal for heightened spiritual vigilance and prayer for the country’s leadership, institutions, and citizens.

Mr. Afriyie Ankrah, on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama, expressed gratitude to various church leaders and denominations for their unwavering spiritual support, intercessory prayers, and leadership in promoting peace, moral integrity, and national unity.

He argued the government’s commitment to working closely with the faith community to ensure peace, stability, and the well-being of Ghana.
