PRINPAG sets July 14 for executive elections nominations

The Private Newspapers and Online News Publishers Association of Ghana (PRINPAG) has unveiled its official roadmap for the 2025 executive elections, aiming for a transparent and accountable process in line with its constitution.

According to PRINPAG nominations will be open on Monday, July 14, 2025 and close on Wednesday, July 23, 2025

Also vetting will begin on Friday, July 25, 2025 while campaign period begins on Saturday, July 26, 2025. Voter Register would be published on Monday, August 4, 2025. The final date to settle dues is scheduled for Thursday, July 31, 2025

According to Article 17.0 of the PRINPAG Constitution, both candidates and voters must be in good standing by July 14. Members with outstanding dues must clear them by July 31 to qualify to vote.

Positions Open for Election are
– President

– Vice President

– Organizing Secretary

– Public Affairs and External Relations Officer

– Financial Secretary

All candidates will be vetted on July 25, with results published the same day. Campaigns will run from July 26 until election the day of election. Members are encouraged to campaign responsibly, focusing on key issues.

After results are announced, members have three days to submit petitions. The Election Committee will respond within 24 hours, with all decisions considered final.

The Election committee led by Lawyer Kenneth Agyei Kuranchie reaffirmed its commitment to a fair, credible, and inclusive process.

Members are urged to stay engaged and follow the electoral guidelines closely.
