Emmanuel Kwabena Kyeremanteng Agyarko was a pharmacist, medical doctor, and a politician born on December 10, 1957, at Odumase Krobo in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
His father was a merchant and United Party activist from Jamase, Ashanti Region and his mother was Jane Ladze Padi from Krobo Odumase in the Eastern Region.
He holds a Bachelor in Pharmacy which he obtained at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in the year 1982.
The late Agyarko was a former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Food and Drugs Authority during the era of former President Kufuor from 2001-2009. He later became Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency on the tickets of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In Parliament, he’s served on the committees of Environment, Science and Technology Committee, chaired the Government Assurance Committee, and also served on the Health Committee.
He is the younger brother of the former Energy Minister, Boakye Agyarko.
The late Agyarko left behind a wife and seven children, five of which are quintuplets.
The Legislator passed on at a hospital in the United States, Wednesday, November 22, 2018.
NPP Legislator had gone to the United States to seek medical care after an undisclosed medical condition was stabilised at the Ridge Hospital in Accra.
