Protesters to march on Jubilee House today demanding removal of Special Prosecutor

Calls for the removal of Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng are set to intensify on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, as activists prepare to march to the Jubilee House to demand his dismissal over what they describe as poor performance and failure to tackle corruption effectively.

The demonstration, themed “Agro Ne Fom,” is being coordinated by Apostle Abraham Larbi Lincoln, who says President John Dramani Mahama must take immediate action by terminating the Special Prosecutor’s appointment.

Speaking ahead of the protest, Apostle Lincoln explained that the march is intended to draw attention to what organisers see as inefficiency at the Office of the Special Prosecutor.

“We will march in our red attire and deliver our petition directly to the President. If nothing is done, then we will know the kind of leader we are dealing with.”

He clarified that the protest is not driven by personal animosity toward Mr. Agyebeng but by public frustration with an institution that he believes has failed to justify its existence.

“This is not hate. The issue is simple: the office is not working. If it cannot function, then dissolve it completely and rebuild it,” he said.

Meanwhile, private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu has revealed that the wave of public discontent is not isolated, noting that 15 separate petitions have already been filed seeking the Special Prosecutor’s removal under Article 146 of the Constitution.

“When has any public office holder in history faced 15 petitions at once? This speaks volumes,” Mr. Kpebu observed.

Today’s protest is expected to culminate in the submission of a formal petition at the Jubilee House.
