President John Dramani Mahama has appointed Dr. Ransford Anertey Abbey as the acting Chief Executive Officer for the Ghana Cocoa Board.
According to a letter from the Presidency signed by the Secretary to the President, Callistus Mahama, sighted by Happyghana.com, Dr. Abbey’s appointment takes effect from today Tuesday January 21, 2025.
Dr. Randy Anertey Abbey’s appointment as the acting CEO COCOBOD is in accordance with Article 195(1) of the Constitution and Section 12(2) of the Ghana Cocoa Board Act, 1984 (P.N.D.C.L 81).
His appointment is pending receipt of the Constitutionally required advice of the Board of Ghana Cocoa Board, in consultation with the Public Services Commission.
