Ghanaian social-oriented radio station, Happy98.9FM, partnered with trusted brand, Frytol to celebrate Father’s Day with an awesome cookout at the residence of Opanyin Philip Kwesi Dadzie; ultimate winner of the #RealMenHelpOnHappy campaign.

The #RealMenHelpOnHappy campaign was launched to celebrate and recognize the efforts of single fathers and step fathers who cared for their children single handedly.

After reviewing dozens of entries for the campaign received via Happy FM’s Nsem Pii radio show, the team selected the best six stories with Opanyin Philip Kwesi Dadzie’s story standing out.

The children led by their elder brother, Joseph Dadzie shared the story of their father who sacrificed his all and had to go hungry on several occasions, won the hearts of his children and also doubled as their mother.

On Father’s Day, a team from Happy98.9FM visited the home of Opanyin Philip Kwesi Dadzie and presented him with lots of gift items from Frytol and other quality products from the Wilmar Group such as Fortune Rice, Fortune margarine, Jamaa Soap, alife soap and Frytol seasoning.

The highlight of the visit was when the team cooked a sumptuous meal for Opanyin Philip Kwesi Dadzie and his entire family and friends with products from the Wilmar group including Fortune Rice and Frytol Sunflower oil.

The Dadzie family was very proud of the honor brought their father and appreciated Happy98.9FM and Frytol for their efforts. “We mainly do not see fathers being celebrated in this manner and I am exceedingly glad our father was celebrated to this level. We appreciate our father for the immense sacrifices he made for us and say a big thank you to HappyFM and Frytol for celebrating our father,” Joseph Dadzie said on behalf of his family.”

Co-ordinator for the project, a Public Relations Executive of Global Media Alliance Broadcasting Company (GMABC), Joel Sanco added, “the celebration of fathers has always been underrated and we took it a notch higher this time around recognizing and celebrating them.”

He added that the other 5 stories received amazing packages from Frytol and Fortune Rice. “The joy and satisfaction of these winners is all we seek to achieve with our projects and we are glad to have exceeded expectations this year.”
