Religion has made Ghanaians comfortable living with poverty – Avraham Ben Moshe

Leader of Common Sense Family, Avraham Ben Moshe, has disclosed that most Ghanaians are still living in poverty because of the concept of religion.

According to him, religion has created the mindset of not fighting for earthly treasures in this world in Christians hence they would rather choose to suffer on earth and enjoy in heaven when that should not be the case.

He expressed that, Christians have now gotten comfortable being poor because of the concept of having a better place than earth when you die.

In an interview with Rev. Nyansa Boakwa on Happy 98.9FM’s NsemPii, Avraham Ben Moshe shared, “They’ve been made to understand that it is useless working and making money to enjoy in the world because someday, it will be destroyed and they will die leaving everything they were working so hard for so, they should rather focus on making it to heaven where they will be eternally rewarded”.

He added ‘this way of thinking is even evident in the kind of roads we construct’.

“We construct our roads like the world will be ending in 3 days and that we are awaiting the second coming of Christ so they can go with him to enjoy in heaven as they’ve been told” he noted.

Avraham stressed that, this concept is making most Christians comfortable living with poverty, adding that ‘until it is changed, we will continue being poor as a country’.

“The whites keep progressing while we keep retrogressing. Until when will we continue to live like this? They keep being innovative everyday but we’re stagnant waiting for the return of Christ. We need to change our mindset” he advised.
