SAD: 31-year-old Ghanaian lady shot dead in Toronto, Canada

A Canadian based Ghanaian, Jenas Nyarko, living in North York, Toronto Canada, has been shot dead while driving home from a funeral ceremony in her community close to Replin Avenue on Sunday, June 24, 2018.
Reports indicate that the deceased met her untimely death around 2:00 am after some unknown people in a silver SUV drove by and opened fire during an erratic shooting during the funeral rites of another Canadian based Ghanaian.
According to the Canadian police department, “the situation is a case of individuals from one neighborhood moving to another hood to cause violence and damages”.
The deceased, Ms. Nyarko, is reported to have parked her car with three others at the area of Replin Road and Old Meadow Lane when the silver Cadillac SUV drove by and opened fire, which led to her death. She was pronounced dead after being rushed to the Toronto Trauma Centre for medical attention.
Happyghana.com checks indicate that, majority of Ghanaians living in government areas with subsidized apartments in Toronto are prone to numerous attacks due to bad guys living in that neighborhood.
However, the Police has intensified a search for the killers through the help of the public in identifying the Cadillac SUV vehicle used at the scene.
Jenas, who migrated to Canada from Ghana in 2001, lived in Toronto alone and worked at a Shelter. Further, no report has been made on whether there was an attack on the passengers with her in the car when the incident occurred.
