The entire Mampong Akwapim traditional area on Wednesday June 13, decanted their blessings on Sammi Awuku, aspiring National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), at a mammoth durbar held in his honour.
Chiefs, Queen mothers, elders, and the youth of Mampong Akuapim could not hold back their support for their son, as one from their own soil, Sammy Awuku.
The people used the occasion to offer their support for him as he embarks on his political ambition which they believe he is capable of holding to enable the NPP get the grassroots support towards winning the 2020 elections and retaining the party in power.

Already, Mr Awuku had promised to make the party a winning machine when elected.
He was accompanied by his campaign coordinator, Addo Frimpong, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Denice Aboagye, Akuapim North National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) Coordinator, Mr Apeanti and Kwadwo Affriye IGP and David Asante-Apeatu among others.
Sammi Awuku donated beds, plastic bowls, toiletries, and an amount of GH¢3,000 at the Tetteh Quarshie government hospital.
Speaking to the media after the donation, the Mampong Akuapim Apesemakanhene Nana Yirenkyi I, believed that the goodwill and blessings from the people will ensure his victory.

The aspiring National Organizer expressed the hope that the delegates would vote for him to face the major opposition party NDC during the campaign period in 2020.
The governing NPP has scheduled its National Delegates Conference for July 6 to 8, 2018 to elect party executives.
