The Ministry of Sanitation and water resources has started the 2nd face of disinfection of various Markets in the Oti Region.
The exercise started on the 13th of November 2020 at Kajebi and it is expected to be undertaken throughout the eight districts in the Oti Region.
In Kedjebi District where the exercise began, markets at Dodi Papase, Cement and other towns where markets are in the district were all disinfected.
The District Chief Executive for Kedjebi, Mr Maxwell Kofi Asiedu in an interview with Happy FM’s Oti Region correspondent Nana Yaw Evans Manasseh, commended the ministry for the good work being undertaken in the various Markets in his District. He was optimistic the exercise will go a long way to reduce diseases and ensure hygiene as well as eradicate mice and other pests from the markets
