SIIMT University College holds 3rd Graduation Ceremony in Accra

SIIMT University College successfully marked its 3rd graduation ceremony on Friday, April 24, 2026, in Accra.

The event, held at the GNAT Teachers Hall, commenced with a warm welcome address by the Registrar of SIIMT, Mrs. Rupali Sonanve, who expressed satisfaction with the hard work and resilience of the graduating students.

She noted that the ceremony goes beyond celebration, serving as a testament to their readiness for the real world. “We don’t just prepare students for a task, we prepare you for industry, for innovation and for impact,” she stated.

She further emphasized the need for graduates to be equipped for the demands of today’s technology-driven world, noting that their journey at

SIIMT had tested and refined them. Encouraging them to pursue excellence, she added, “…the late nights, the riveting frustration, the closing deadlines, those were not obstacles, they were your training grounds and now you are ready; do not wait for any opportunity to come to you and let your works be of excellence.”

Deputy Director-General of the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission, Professor Augustine Ocloo, commended the graduands and highlighted the growing importance of digital technology professionals. He called for a broader institutional impact, urging SIIMT to fully leverage its strengths. “One of SIIMT’s strongest opportunities lies in its technology focus and international partnerships.

This must be leveraged more deliberately to strengthen industry-based learning, provide internships and real-world project exposure, support innovation and startups, position SIIMT as a hub applied digital solutions.

This is how the institution can distinguish itself not just as another university college, but as a leader in practical technology-driven education.”

Director General In Charge of Human Resource at the Ghana Police Service, COP Frederick Kofi Blagodzi, touched on the sensitivity of the digital technology space, stressing integrity and discipline as key pillars. “As the Commissioner of Police responsible for Human Resource within the Ghana Police Service, I must emphasize the critical importance of your field of study. In today’s digital age, security is no longer confined in physical space; cyber security, data protection and digital intelligence are now central to national security and development,” he shared.

He described the graduating class as custodians of information and vital contributors to Ghana’s digital future, urging them to uphold ethical standards and avoid actions that could compromise individuals or the nation.

SIIMT University College is a technology-focused private institution located in Accra, with a deep commitment to training students in digital innovation and industry-relevant skills.

The college emphasizes practical learning, international collaboration, and real-world application of knowledge. It has steadily built a reputation for producing graduates equipped for the evolving global tech landscape, with this year being no exception by producing 50 graduates. Through its programmes, SIIMT continues to position itself as a hub for applied digital education in Ghana.
