A leading member of the Movement for Change, Solomon Owusu has accused Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of failing to deliver on promises made to the Ghanaian people.

He expressed frustration over what he perceives as unfulfilled economic commitments and ineffective management of the nation’s economic challenges. According to him, the Vice President, once hailed as the leader of Ghana’s Economic Management Team, has shifted his focus toward technological initiatives rather than addressing core economic issues affecting Ghanaians.

He argued that, under the Dr. Bawumia’s oversight, promises of economic recovery and prosperity have not materialized. He claims that despite assurances, the economy has continued to decline, with increasing hardship and inflation impacting ordinary Ghanaians. This, he believes, demonstrates the Vice President’s prioritization of image over substantive economic solutions.

According to him, the Vice President’s strategies have done little to stabilize the cedi. He warned that continued reliance on what he described as “superficial solutions” only deepens the economic strain on citizens and urged the public to demand accountability.
