Ghanaian boxing legend, Joshua Clottey has said that womanizing is killing the careers of many young boxers in the country.

The former Welterweight Champion said young boxers spend all their time on women because of the little fame they get early in their career rather than building their careers.

In an interview with Happy Sports, Joshua Clottey urged young boxers to concentrate on winning world titles before they entertain women in their lives.

“Young boxers have a big problem and that is womanizing, the girls are worrying them. Every day when I’m asked this is what I say because it’s a big problem in our community.”

“During our time, our concentration was more on the fight and not the girls that come to us because of the fame we were getting. You need to concentrate on your craft to get to the top before you can start chasing girls,” Clottey told Happy Sports.

Joshua Clottey is a former Welterweight Champion who won 41 fights out of 47 professional bouts with 24 of his victories coming by way of technical knockouts.
