YFM, Ghana’s premier urban radio station, successfully staged the third instalment of its hit Alternative Lounge series in partnership with the nation’s dopest tea brand, Tealeys.

The unforgettable Alternative Lounge happened on Friday, November 22nd, 2024, at ‘The Hayvin’, East Legon.

The musical event saw the best of the best in the alternative music scene serenade their audience with top quality performances in a groovy atmosphere.

It was simply an unforgettable night for patrons present, as they sipped on some great tea from Tealeys, while enjoying breathtaking and intimate performances from Anabel Rose, Fready, Gibrillville, Haeven, Avit, Ess thee legend and several others.

The highlight of the night kicked in when Darko Vibes grabbed the microphone, taking his audience through performances of songs off his ‘Kpanlogo’ album, one of the best albums one can enjoy.

The event served as a platform to promote Ghana’s alternative music sector, which has gained considerable traction alongside established genres.

While enjoying good music, patrons of Alte Lounge 3 were served some delicious tea from the nation’s succinct tea brand, Tealeys. The range of Moringa tea, Lemongrass Citronelle tea and Hibiscus tea brought out the inner joy of patrons, with many asking for more.

Tealeys

The Alternative Lounge, originating from the YLounge radio show, has historically provided a forum for artistes to exhibit their innovative skills and venture into uncharted musical territories.

Through the Alternative Lounge, YFM demonstrated its dedication to fostering diversity and innovation in the music industry while empowering young Ghanaian artists.

Eddy Blay Jr. YFM’s Programs Manager emphasized that the Alternative Lounge plays a vital role in unearthing Ghana’s untapped musical talents.

“Alte Lounge 3 has gone through the roof. This is some great music from great talents, and I am glad we pulled this off for our listeners. We are much appreciative to all the artistes who came through and big ups to Simple for hosting us in his spot (The Hayvin),” he added.

Braithwaite Sampram – Business Development Lead for Tealeys had this to say about Alte Lounge 3; “I am happy Tealeys as a brand was a part of Alte Lounge 3 and we were able to serve these exclusive group of people with refreshing tea from our various variants, thus, Moringa, Lemongrass and Hibiscus. The Tealeys brand does not only refresh its customers, but also rejuvenates them. Sip from any of our Tealeys brands and enjoy life.”
