Telecel Ghana, a telecommunications network operator in Ghana has encouraged its customers and the general public to take part in the ongoing Telecel Dream Car Promotion, a lottery initiative supervised by the National Lottery Authority (NLA).

Speaking to happyghana.com on Friday, September 19, 2025, during the 13th edition of the promotion at Kasoa New Market, the Acting Head of Products and Services at Telecel Ghana, Carlos Asare-Okoh explained that the campaign is aimed at rewarding loyal customers who continue to purchase airtime, data bundles, and other services.

He noted that owning a car or building a home is a dream many Ghanaians grow up aspiring to, and the promotion first launched in 2018 offers participants the chance to achieve those dreams.

He urged interested customers to dial *2018# to enter the draw. The current edition, which began in August 2025, runs until January 2026.

The Marketing Officer at the NLA, Bright Ofori, also assured the public that the promotion is authentic and transparent.

He dismissed rumors suggesting the winners are pre-selected, stressing that the NLA ensures fairness and impartiality in every draw.

“The Telecel Ghana Dream Car Promotion is genuine and regulated by the NLA. Winners are chosen fairly based on participation, not on personal connections,” he stated.

Meanwhile, the winner of the 13th edition, James Dadzie, expressed his gratitude to Telecel for keeping their promise.

He admitted he was initially skeptical due to the prevalence of scams but gained confidence after participating for six months.

“When I got the call that I had won, I didn’t believe it until I went to the Telecel head office to confirm,” he said.

Mr. Dadzie urged other customers to take advantage of the promotion, adding that the opportunity to win a car or house is real.
