The Deputy Minister for Defence, Ernest Brogya Genfi, has clarified that the aircraft involved in Monday’s fatal crash at Tema Community One does not belong to the Ghana Armed Forces.
In a Facebook post on March 16, Mr. Genfi stated that authorities had received reports of a fatal crash involving a privately owned microlight aircraft at Tema Community One earlier in the afternoon.
He explained that the aircraft involved in the incident was not owned by the Ghana Armed Forces, addressing concerns that the military might be linked to the crash.
The Deputy Minister also expressed sympathy to the families affected by the tragedy.
He said prayers were being offered for the souls of the departed and extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved families.
