Tension on VGMA stage makes us forget to appreciate DJs – KiDi

Reigning ‘ Best Male Vocalist of the Year’, Dennis Nana Dwamena, popularly known as KiDi, has revealed that the tension on the Vodafone Ghana Music Award (VGMA) stage makes Musicians forget to acknowledge DJs when they receive awards.

The ‘Adiepena’ hitmaker disclosed in an interview with DJ Advicer, host of Happy FM’s ‘Ayekoo After Drive Show’ that, ‘’There is proof I acknowledged DJs and the media in my speech but I still think all of us are at fault. I won’t try to make excuses for musicians. But to be honest, being on that stage, sometimes the tension and the pressure. People even forget to thank God. Others pick the awards and forget to mention their teams. It is not everybody that has that confidence. Personally I even forgot to say the exact things that I’d plan to say that night.’’

‘’I’m not saying it is the right thing to do, but people should accept that we are human and such things do happen. Moving forward we have to try to make things better,’’ he added.

Kidi made these revelations prior to claims made by some DJs that Musicians failed to recognize DJs at the just ended VGMAs.
