The newly appointed Minority Leader made these comments in a statement issued from his social media platform which read,” My dear friends, I am honoured to have been chosen to lead our illustrious and gallant caucus in parliament”

“I thank the leadership of our party who have placed their trust and confidence in me. I am also deeply grateful to colleagues, the rank and file of our party and the Ghanaian people for their profound support and solidarity” he mentioned.

He reiterated that he has had interactions with his predecessor, Haruna Iddrissu while commending him for his commitment towards the party.

“I have had fruitful and positive conversations with my brother Hon. Haruna Iddrisu. I commend him for his admirable stewardship when he was granted the opportunity by our party” he stated.

Mr Ato Forson pleaded for the support of party members and was certain of representing the collective goals,” with unwavering dedication and high integrity.”

“ I do not doubt that with your support we shall succeed” he assured.

“May God bless our efforts” he added.
